Baptistao: "I have come here to do things, If we are all together we will get Betis out of this"
Baptistao assures Betis "was going to contribute more to me than other clubs"
In the press room the President of the Club, Miguel Guillén, presented the first Green-and-White signing in the winter transfer market, Leo Baptistao. The forward said that when making the decision to come the Real Betis "I talked about it with my family and we analysed all the implications and we thought that from a sporting point of view it was going to contribute more to me than other clubs. We played well in the last match but we had some slip ups and we didn't win. But we have a good feeling and we think we can pull this off".
The match and your signing: "In the end we were not happy, we played a great match and if we continue working like this we will pull things around. I had nothing to do with the operation and things have been said that are not true; that my father earned money from it, which is not true. I'm not interested in those aspects I just want to play football".
The atmosphere on the pitch: "Walking out on the pitch made my hair stand on end and my mother cried in the box. The fans showed what Betis is about, and that they will continue loving us and support us always. I think we will manage to put things right; we are not going to throw the towel in. Together, united we will turn the situation around"
Madrid is coming up: "It's never a good time for Madrid to come but we are convinced we are going to play a good match and we will try to win. I only think about proving my worth to Garrido and to the Betis fans. I am only thinking about Betis".
Position: "I am very comfortable where I am playing, it is my position, behind the striker. The boss gave me a lot of confidence and liberty and it worked out well. We needed more goals and to win the match but that is my position".
Saviour: "I do not come to be a saviour, Betis has great players I have come to contribute. Together we will pull Betis out of the bottom spot".
