The players of Real Betis Balompié first team have undergone a 3D scanner in their legs, made by Podoactiva. This means the first step for the creation of special carbon fiber shin pads Podoactiva Elite Protection, completely customized for each player. The Spanish brand, in charge of the podiatry and biomechanics services for Real Betis Balompié, will produce this new shin pads in a multi-layer material that includes the same carbon fiber used in Formula 1.

The engineering department of Podoactiva will develop the pads from the 3D scanner, and they will feet perfectly to the players’ legs, making them feel like a ‘glove’. Also, this would allow using the pads without adjustment bands. The final product will be customized to each player. It will include the team’s badge, name and number of the player and the picture that each one of them chooses for themselves.
