Matilla and Paulao, unable to train; Vadillo main novelty
The midfielder and the Brazilian full back were off training due to flu like symptoms
The first team is already thinking about next Wednesday's game against Athletic Club, corresponding to the King's Cup Round of 16. While Sunday's match against Club Atlético Osasuna has greater importance for the team, the squad wants to use the Cup match as a vehicle to continue regenerating confidence and avoid relegation to the Second Division. At this juncture, Garrido's pupils exercised this morning on the turf at the Luis del Sol Training Centre, in a session marked by various absences and the large presence of Betis B players.
Those not available include,Matilla and Paulao who did not train because of flu symptoms. Braian and Nosa partially completed training activities whereas Alvaro Vadillo was available for the coach for the whole of the session, indicating that his injury is progressing well. In cases of Nosa and Braian, like Eder Vilarchao, they came into contact with the ball in a match on a reduced dimension pitch and small goals. Garrido supervised the session not wanting to miss a single detail.
Likewise, the players who formed the starting eleven in last Saturday's match against Valladolid, left the main group after the initial exercises working on possession and driving the ball to continue with physical tasks.
Garrido recruited a number of players from the clubs second team including Francisco Varela, who after being injured for some months is starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel. The left-footed winger together with José Antonio Caro, Sergio Rodríguez, Marco Rosa, Moyita, Pedro López, Javi Montoya, Jesús Muñoz and Ignacio Abeledo attentively followed the coaching staff's instructions, exultantly happy after their triumph over Coria (6-2) under the leadership of Óscar Cano.
The next session will take place tomorrow at 10:30 am at the Luis del Sol Training Centre but will not be open to the public.
