Rennella rejoined the group; Matilla did not exercise in the second session of the week

The forward completed the whole of the training session without any discomfort; however, the midfielder has still not recovered from the contusion in his right ankle

In yesterday afternoon's training session, Matilla was not able to workout due to a severe contusion in his right ankle. The midfielder was not able to work out on the pitches at the Training Centre today either as he has still not recovered from the collision he had in the last league match against Recreativo de Huelva. For his part, Rennella was able to complete the training session after only working out for part of yesterday's session with the rest of his teammates. The forward has recovered from the posterior tibia tendinitis and the manager will be able to count on him for the match against CA Osasuna.

Velázquez gave no clues about the starting eleven for Sunday's match at midday at the El Sadar Stadium, but a lot of importance was given to working with possession of the ball and transitions form defence to attack in today's session. The whole session was aimed at increasing the players' competence with diverse exercises on possession of the ball in different dimensions. The coaching staff manly focused on these issues with variations in the exercises with the number of times the players had to touch the ball. Similarly, there were high intensity training matches on different sized pitches, which made for a long session. Julio Velázquez gave more instructions to his players in this part of the session. Finally, there was a mini tournament with the squad divided in to four teams bringing to a close the second training session in preparation for the tie with the team from Pamplona.
