Antonio Adán spoke for the media in Mestalla Stadium after the match. The goalkeeper analysed the point obtained away from home: “It’s a good point, specially after seeing how the match went. After Dani Ceballos was sent off we needed to work hard again and save the draw. The team has shown again a lot of character and its will to play its part. We have played in a very difficult stadium and in the first half we played very well. In the second half it was about defending and we did it too. It’s fair to praise the work done by all the players and specially because of the place we were playing at.”

Dani Ceballos sent off: “These actions sometimes are punished and sometimes not. And today it was punished and it meant the second yellow card for Dani Ceballos and we had to play again with ten men. As I said before, the team has shown character and we did it very well.”

Next match: “Now we need to make this point count winning in front of the 40,000 fans that come to cheer us every week. There, we need to win every match.”

AlsoBruno explained that “the match became very hard. With eleven players is very difficult to play here, so imagine with only ten men. Another match with a guy less, but this is football and the team showed its will to perform. We run a lot today. If we perform no team will beat us easily. We proved it today.”

Bookings: “We need to learn and think twice when a player is already booked, there’s no need to talk much about it. We got a point, we are happy and we hope we can make it on Thursday. We need to focus on the next match.”

Would it have been different with eleven players?: “We were doing well. I can’t recall many clear chances for them, and we were playing in Mestalla, no ordinary stadium. The team was well and I don’t know what could have happened, but at least we would have had more chances, but we had to defend and we did it well.”
