Real Betis Balompié was defeated tonight at Anoeta against Real Sociedad. The team started the match well until Juanmi score after the first quarter of hour. From that moment, the team completed a terrible first half. The team showed a completely different version in the second half and tied the match up. They continued looking for the win but Real Sociedad scored eight minutes before the end.

In the first minutes, the Green and Whites were really good, monopolising the ball completely. The first chance was for Lo Celso but his effort was a bit bland and Rulli saved it.

The next one was for Loren, who headed the ball into the keeper's gloves, In spite of this good start, Real Sociedad took the lead in a corner kick that shouldn't have been, as the ball went out kicked by Zaldúa. However, the referee made a mistake and the delivery from Oyarzabal was finished by Juanmi.

Betis tried to react and Guardado tried with a free kick that went over the bar. The local team was creating more danger and Pau López denied Willian José. The last chance of the first half was for Canales, though, with a long range effort that Rulli saved.

The first half went underway without chances in any of the teams. From the start, it could be seen that that the team had a different attitude. After several tries, the Green and Whites finally scored. Good play by Tello on the left, from where he delivered a low cross that Canales tapped in.

Two minutes later, Pau López saved the team with a phenomenal intervention in front of José after a mistake from Guardado. Apart from this one, Real Betis seemed to be more in the game. In this way came the best one in the entire match. After a good personal play, Jesé passed the ball to Joaquín, alone inside the area. However, the captain sent his effort against Rulli's body.

The final minutes came with chances in both ends. Juanmi missed the target after a counterattack. But he produced a good assist eight minutes before the end to Oyarzabal, who beat Pau with his effort. Feddal almost levelled the score up again before the end but his header went wide.
