Rafa Navarro: “We have to give an extra to finish the season in the best possible way”
Press conference
Rafa Navarro has addressed the media today at Luis del Sol Training Centre.
Season analysis: “We know the tenth position is far away but there are six games left to make up the season a bit.”
Last few games: “We know the season hasn’t been good that’s why we want to finish in the best possible way.”
Victory over SD Eibar: “We needed that victory and now our confidence has been lifted.”
First season in LaLiga: “I’m happy with the game I played in my first season with the first team. I would change some good individual performances for the team being higher in the table.”
Two victories in a row: “We couldn’t make it along the season and let’s try to make it this weekend.”
Do you prefer Celta to be eliminated from Europa League?: “We don’t care. We are focused on getting the three points and we don’t look at they get eliminated or not. We don’t care their European game. We are thinking just about ourselves.”
Playing away: “We are not performing as well away but we have to keep trying. We have to keep playing in the same way whether at home or away.”
Do you think you should be in the starting eleven until the end of the season?: “That’s a decision for the boss. I’m going to keep working as usual and then he’ll decide.”
Víctor Sánchez del Amo: “I see him like in the first day, eager. As long as he is with us we’ll defend him. Let’s hope he’s with us for a long time.”
Fans: “The fans are free to opine, especially when the season hasn’t been good. They can say whatever they want.”
Piccini has said nice things about you: “I thank him. We get along very well and we always wish the best for one another.”
End of season: “We are untied all together to make a good end of the season. We all, players and staff, have to give an extra.”
