Gabriel Calderón Pellegrino, new head of the sports area of Real Betis Balompié Foundation

The Spanish-Argentine coach will lead the growth of the Foundation's Football School and its international expansion

Gabriel Calderón Pellegrino will be the new head of the sports area of ??the Real Betis Balompié Foundation. The Spanish-Argentine technician will coordinate all the sports activities of the Foundation, such as the School of Football.

Gabriel Calderón Pellegrino (Sevilla, 1986) is one of the 70 FIFA technical experts, a body that provides training to coaches and trainers at international level. He began his career as a coach in the lower categories of Getafe CF and CD Leganes to later become a physical trainer at Real Betis. He has also worked in various teams in the Middle East (Al Hilal, from Saudi Arabia, Bani Yas and Al Wasl, from the United Arab Emirates, and the national team from Bahrain). He is a national trainer, graduated in INEF and a specialist in physical preparation and game analysis.

The young coach is the son of Gabriel Humberto Calderón, an international forward for Real Betis Balompié and an important shareholder of the entity.

Among the Foundation's sports projects, its current Football School in Seville and its summer and Christmas campuses stand out. The Foundation is also working on the implementation of various projects for the opening of schools and campuses of Real Betis both nationally and internationally.
