Betis B continues its romance with victory (3-1)
Oscar Cano's squad achieve their third successive win
Real Betis B achieved its third consecutive victory after winning (3-1) against CD San Roque; a result that allows the green and whites to share the top slot of the table with San Roque de Lepe, in Group X of the Third Division.
Oscar Cano fielded a starting eleven in which there were several innovations compared with the line-up last weekend, giving Diego Zamora, Alvaro Gonzalez and Alex Alegría a chance to play. Right from the beginning of the match, the squad from Heliópolis tried to control the run of play, which always involves the two driving forces in the team, Carlos García and Jorge.
The first piece of play that created any danger was the work of Isuardi whose shot, had it not been for the visiting goalie, would have put the first goal on the scoreboard. San Roque's reply came half an hour later, but Javi Montoya appeared to punch the ball away for a corner.
Minutes later, in the 39th minute, Alex Alegría got into their rivals penalty area and conceded the ball to his unmarked companion Isuardi, who slipped the ball into the net under Borja giving the team a 1-0 lead. Far from relaxing, Betis B came out for the second half with every intention of widening the gap on the scoreboard.
By the 12th minute they had had already created some danger in their rivals half, but the coup de grace was about to be delivered sentencing the match for the Betis side. A shot by Alvaro Gonzalez from close range bounced off the hands of an opponent and the referee indicated the penalty spot.
Andriu was commissioned to score from 11 meters spot (2-0). The move also brought about the expulsion of the visiting player Carlos. Betis' third goal came halfway through the second half, this time it was Eneko's work. From that moment on until the end of the match there were successive opportunities for Betis B, like Ishmael's shot which hit the post. However, it was Stoichko who scored for San Roque (3-1) just before full-time.
