Betis B were unable to break the tie (1-1) in this Sunday's match against UCAM Murcia at the Luis del Sol Training Centre, a result that when added to the defeat in the first leg (2-1) prevents the reserves, for the moment, from getting promoted to Second Division B. Sofian's goal early in the second half did justice to Betis's control of the match. However, Carrasco, with a penalty shot made it impossible for them to make a comeback in the aggregate of the two legs with 12 minutes remaining.

Right from the start of the match Oscar Cano's lads tried to advance on UCAM Murcia's goal who were well positioned in defence but; even so, at times they had difficulties in containing Betis's advances. In fact, Betis B had the best scoring opportunities in the first half and Juanma, Isuardi and Varela all came close to scoring in diverse attacking plays, in the case of the latter two they would have obtained their reward had it not been for the post. Indeed, it was Varela who initiated the last golden opportunity of the first half but Javi Muñoz was very quick to run out and clear the danger.

The Heliopolitan team's drive was to be rewarded in the second half. In the 50th minute of the game Varela, always dangerous on set pieces, centred the ball to Sofian in the middle of the area to Sofian, the ball glanced off Juanma but he opened the scoring 1-0. The goal spurred UCAM Murcia on who pulled their lines together in order to neutralize Betis's lead, although it did not result in excessive danger. But then came the 75th minute of play. In a counterattack Victor, who had only recently stepped out onto the field of play was brought down with a foul. Carrasco took on the responsibility for taking the penalty, levelling the match with the first shot on goal by UCAM Murcia in the whole match. Despite this dramatic setback Betis B did not give in hopeful of a 2-1 result which would have taken the match into extra time. They had the full support of the crowd who cheered them on for the full 90 minutes. However, the goalkeeper, Javi Muñoz, was there to thwart Marc Mas' attempt first then Caro's later, and the match drew to a close with a draw.
