Betis U18 A have their first defeat at the Luis del Sol Training Centre (0-1)

A single goal by Dani ended the Betis team's prolonged winning streak, who had not been beaten since the third Matchday

Real Betis U18 A lost by the smallest margin on Saturday against Cádiz CF, who made the most of the single goal scored by Dani in the middle of the second half to clinch the three points. Despite the defeat, Betis continue in the top positions in Group 4 of the Honour Division, having earned 38 points in the eighteen matches played to date.

The early stages of the match showed the importance of the event, with two well-ordered squads trying to carry the weight of the meeting. While it was the Heliopolitan team who generated the first approaches of danger in two separate plays just a minute apart. In the 7th minute, Pibe took on his mark on the right wing, emerged to his left and his powerful left-footed shot was opposed only by Cádiz's crossbar. Moments later another advance by Pibe concluded with a shot by Diego in the small area that Álex Lázaro stopped with automatic reflexes keeping the match a tie. The Betis no. 11 created a lot of danger on his wing and even in the final stages of the first half he featured in another scoring opportunity for Betis, which again was dashed by the visitors' keeper.

The second half started with a very similar script to that which both teams used before halftime. The Heliopolitan team were the ones who showed more attacking impetus, though their attempts lacked the necessary depth due to the good work in defence by the visiting team. A Cádiz CF who, in 62nd minute, went ahead on the scoreboard in its first approach on the goal defended by Valera. The goal was scored by the newly signed Dani, finishing off a rapid counterattack. Thereafter, Real Betis pushed their lines in search of an equalizer and was about to get it, had Manu's header off a corner kick hit not hit the crossbar. It was the second time that the wood deprived Betis of a goal, although they kept trying until the final whistle, it was not to be.
