Real Betis Youth HD beats Coria CF (3-0)

Week 7, Youth Honour Division. Goals by Hinojosa and two by Pepelu

The Real Betis Youth Honour Division beat Coria CF (3-0) in a game that saw Gustavo Sánchez's team in control of the match despite being a man down for the majority of the second half after Hinojosa was sent off. Seven minutes before the end of the match Cristóbal, from the visiting team, was also sent off making things even again in terms of manpower.

It was not until half way through the first half that incursions into the visiting team's area actually created any danger And that was when Betis managed to get ahead on the scoreboard. In the 34th minute Ignacio dashed up the right wing finally crossing the ball in from the goal line, Hinojosa finished the play putting the ball into the back of the net.

Earlier, in the 26th minute Pepelu just failed to open the scoring, but in the end he was going to be the main scorer of the match. There was a good feeling about the match because the team were very organised and when they had to defend they did so effectively.

In the second half the Betis squad came out with the same spirit and clear determination to score a second goal and sentence the match, all under the watchful eye of Real Betis sporting director, Vlada Stosic, as well as the all the Betis B coaching staff with Oscar Cano at the head.

Then the Heliópolis team suffered the expulsion of Hinojosa after receiving a second yellow card. Nevertheless, they continued to put in a solid performance. Coria came close to equalizing the match, but the situation was avoided with a great save by Pedro. In fact it was Real Betis Youth HD who were to score when Pepelu got his second goal (87th minute). Prior to this action the visiting team lost a man when Cristóbal was sent off, equalling the numbers on each team.

The last goal was scored in extra time (93rd minute), again Pepelu's work, who made no mistake in the one to one putting the finishing touch to a match that put the team managed by Gustavo Sánchez back on the road to victory in Group 4 of the Youth Honour Division.
