Real Betis Balompié and Aitor Ruibal have reached an agreement about the contract extension of the Catalan football player. This means that the captain will remain linked with the Verdiblancos until 2028. 

Aitor Ruibal (Sallent de Llobregat, 1996) joined Real Betis for the first time in the winter of 2015 to play for the second team, but he didn't make his debut with the first team until 2018. 

After several loan spells to FC Cartagena, CF Rayo Majadahonda and CD Leganés, it was during the 2020/21 season when he definitively established himself in the squad. 

Since then, Aitor Ruibal has participated in 134 games with the first team, contributed with 9 goals and 9 assists and took part in the team that won the Copa del Rey in 2022 and reached four consecutive qualifications for European competitions.
