The last to be officially opened was the New York club which was attended by the Club's protocol manager, Elena Munoz, who was on holiday in the American city and took advantage of her stay to attend the event and present the fan club with a plaque on behalf of Real Betis.
In March 2012 its founders, Rafael Velez, fan club President, and Vice President Sergio Ortega came to the Benito Villamarín Stadium to enrol the fan club. At that time they had a meeting with Rafael Gordillo, who called the fan club on the opening day to congratulate them on their initiative and conveying his desire that the fan club should go on for many years to come.
The fan club is based at the Black Iron Burger Shop bar, which is at the 540 E 5th Street in Manhattan. Whilst the fan club was founded by emigrants native from Seville the populate their ranks more and more people of all nationalities who to the bar to watch the Betis matches. The Black Iron screens all Betis matches throughout the bar, never missing a game.
Curiously, two of its members, Victor and Sergio are also brothers of the President of the Miami Fan Club. Support in the US supports the motto 'Yes we can'.
