Five Betis players in the pre-selection of 132 of the best young talents in national football

The first Technical Committee held this Monday at the National Football Complex in Las Rozas has drawn up a list of 132 who opt to form part of the gold, silver and bronze teams of youth football in Spain.

So the starting gun has fired on this year's youth football rebellion. The 2014 Football Draft, as provided for in the statues of the official footballing bodies in Spain (CSD, RFEF, LFP, AFE and AEAF), has set in motion the search for the best male and female players aged between 16 and 20.

The Technical Committee of the Football Draft, with its president Iñaki Sáez at the head has chosen the first list of 132 young footballers, twelve for each position, who are eligible to win one of the prestigious Football Draft Awards. This event was preceded with the gathering of information on the great promises of Spanish football. Previous editions saw the selection of players like Silva, Ramos, Llorente, Mata and Cesc, to which
José Antonio Caro, Varela, Nono, Álvaro Vadillo and Ignacio Abeledo have been added, representatives of Real Betis in the first stage of selection.

There will be four committee sessions in which the complicated process of reducing the initial 132 players down to 77 takes place. Then it will be reduced to 55 followed by a final reduction to select the final 33 players, these players will make up the gold, silver and bronze teams of Spanish youth football both for male and female players.
