Real Betis Balompié and Adidas have opened a new Official Store in Plaza Nueva, the place where Real Betis fans traditionally celebrate the triumphs of the team. This new meeting point for all the Green-and-White fans in the heart of the city will have available all the range of products that the German brand produces for the Club. Many followers of the team gathered in Plaza Nueva for the opening.

The event counted with the presence of the Vice-Chairmen of the institution, José Miguel López Catalán and Ángel Haro; the board members José María Pagola, Adrián Fernández Romero, Rafael Salas, Ernesto Sanguino, Cayetano García de la Borobolla and Ramón Alarcón; the sports director, Eduardo Macià; the deputy sports director, Alexis Trujillo; and the players Joaquín, Adán and Portillo.

López Catalán gave a speech during the opening ceremony and outlined “that the alliance between Adidas and Real Betis moves forward. It is a great pride for the Board to open this Official Store in Plaza Nueva. We are very happy because Adidas supports this Club and this city. After these first four months of alliance we can say that the union between these two great brands is very satisfactory. Adidas already knew how Real Betis and its fans are, but, as we knew, Betis fans are exceeding all the expectations and we are breaking sales records. The stock had to be increased to answer the huge demand. We have set a challenge for ourselves: to become the second team with more sales in Spain. And we are going to make it.”

Also, the vice-chairman stated that this alliance with the German brand “goes together with the target set by this Board of making a great Real Betis. It is essential that we have a partnership with the best brands in the world to create a source of profit that would allow us to invest in all the areas of the Club, specially in the sports area, so we can have great players, like the ones that are here today. Real Betis needs to be among the six first teams in Spain in a few years and we are working on projects to achieve this growth, like building the South Stand of the Stadium or the enlargement of the Training Ground. And I can say they are on their way and we’ll have news in the following weeks.”

Finally, López Catalán explained that the location of the Official Store in Plaza Nueva “has a double symbolism. On one side, as you know, is where we, the Betis fans, have always celebrated and we’ll celebrate again great successes. And, on the other hand, is a perfect place where thousands of tourists have the chance to arrive to the city, discover Real Betis and make our wish of extending Real Betis all over the world true.”

The store is located in number 13 of Plaza Nueva. Until the stock runs out, all the buyers that spend over 30€ will take home a special edition t-shirt for free.
