We began trailing in the score and the team, instead of getting down, has taken the possession and that’s how we should play. We have to make this Stadium a fortress with the help of the fans.”

Support from the fans: “I had been told that the first moment you come out the tunnel in this stadium is an unforgettable moment. And it is. I knew these fans were good but I didn0t imagine how much. On behalf of all of us, thank you very much. There will be difficult moments, but we need them by our side.”

First goal in the new South Stand: “I hadn’t think about it but it’s an historic goal, especially for me. My first game at home after so many years, when I made my debut in LaLiga in front of my family and friends. When I scored I run towards the side line and I had goosebumps.”

Did you think of somebody?: “My father, I know he must be happy and proud of me up there. I’d love him to be here. I guess he’s watching over me from up there, in some way. This is for him.”

What did you feel today?: “I will never forget this debut. When I jumped on the grass, I had goosebumps. I’m very happy for making the decision to come to this great Club.”

Did you expect it to be like this?: “When I arrived I realised how important is this Club. Betis is like a religion because people are born béticos. I realised it today, but I’m responsible and I’ll give everything.”
