The men managed by Pepe Mel continued with their work to prepare the first match of the season. This time, they had the support of more than 1,000 that attended to see the work of their team. In the second session of the day, Mel had, again, all the players available apart from Van der Vaart. The excitement among the fans is high, and it can be seen every time the team holds a session behind open doors. They are continuously cheering the team in every action in the trainings, and they know that their support will be crucial during the season.

For this session, Betis head coach has done some tests that could give clues about the starting eleven he will be using on Sunday. The last exercise has been a match for which Mel has split the team into two groups. The first one was made up by Adán, Piccini, Pezzella, Bruno, Vargas, Dani Ceballos, Xavi Torres, N'Diaye, Portillo, Rubén Castro and Jorge Molina. They faced another team conformed by Dani Giménez, Molinero, Westermann, Jordi Figueras, Tarek, Cejudo, Petros, Digard, Varela, Fabián and Rennella.

Towards the end of the match, Francis replaced Jordi Figueras. Tarek then played as centre back and Varela acted as left back. Later, the Egyptian player left his spot to Figueras again. In the same way, Cejudo switched teams with Portillo. So did N’Diaye and Digard.

As the week goes by, Mel will start deciding the players that will try to win the first three points for Real Betis Balompié in the 2015/2016 season.
