MATCH REPORT | Back to winning ways (1-0)

Borja Iglesias scored the only goal

Real Betis returned today to winning ways after beating Athletic Club at Benito Villamarín Stadium. This way, the men managed by Pellegrini get a nine-point difference over the Basque team in the fight for a spot in Europe next season. The team, after some games struggling, again showed a great version of themselves.

The Green and Whites started with five changes from the Europa League game on Wednesday. In the first half, the team was fairly superior to the visitors. The team had chances to increase the difference before the break, but could not make it.

In the second half, Athletic moved their lines forward and pushed a bit mote, but they barely created chances. The negative point of the evening was the red card Fekir saw.
