Guido Rodríguez was sent off just before half time

Real Betis Balompié was defeated in the derby. After a close and even first half, Guido Rodríguez saw his second yellow card just before half time. The team suffered playing with one man less and conceded two goals in the second half. First, Acuña scored. Then, near the end, in an unfortunate play, Bellerín scored an own goal.

The first half was quite close in all terms. Sevilla started better and had a few chances, although none of them clear enough. Step by step, Betis improved and started to get closer to the other end. Fekir and Rodri had a couple of good chances.

In fact, Betis managed to score through Bellerín, but the goal was disallowed for offside. Just before the break, Guido Rodríguez was shown his second yellow card for stopping a counterattack. The team had to play the entire second half with ten men.

The red card was key in the developing of the game. The rivals cameo n much more intense and controlled the match. Ten minutes after the start, Acuña gave the visitors the lead. Close to the end, in an unfortunate play, the ball bounced off Bellerin and went in.
