Real Betis put on a really poor performance at Leganés
Real Betis Balompié played today one of their worst games of the season at Leganés. The team was inferior to the rival in every aspect of the game and didn't create any feeling of danger throughout the 90 minutes. CD Leganés striker En-Nesyri scored the three goals.
Not even 10 seconds had gone by and Leganés had their first chance. A long ball looking for En-Nesyri, who controlled but shot wide.
The home team had strated the game strong and had a new chance in the second minute. Again En-Nesyri tried, sending his effort wide. The locals were displaying a high pressing and Betis could not reach the other half of the pitch with the ball in possession. Leganés, had, actually another chance. This time it was Óscar who, in the clearest so far, send the ball over the bar. A minute later, Jesé tried from inside the box but Cuéllar saved the ball. That was the only chance the team had in the whole match.
After the first 15 minutes, Real Betis had managed to lower the tempo of the game and have the ball more. However, it was Leganés the team that had the chances. En-Nesyri headed a wide a good cross delivered from the left. After all those tries, the Moroccan striker scored in the next occasion. A corner poorly defended that allowed En-Nesyri to shot alone from inside the area.
The team was struggling so far in the game. In this way, in accordance to what was happening, the second goal came. En-Nesyri easily tapped in a cross from Óscar. After that, it seemed much closer the third goal for Leganés than the first for Betis, as the team did not create feeling of danger.
The second half began with one change, as Lainez came on for Feddal. The team did not seem to improve after the break. Every ball loss turned into a chance for Leganés, regardless of the zone of the pitch in where the loss happened.
The match had a lower pace in the second half, though. Leganés were comfortable with the advantage and were focused now on defending and counterattacking. Betis had the ball but no chances. In this way, the third goal came. A long ball behind Betis defence and En-Nesiry put the ball past Pau López.
The final 15 minutes arrived and it didn't look like the plot of the game was to change. To make matters worse, Javi García was sent off for an ugly tackle.
