MATCH REPORT | To Europe! (1-0)

A goal by Borja Iglesias seals a ticket to European competitions

To Europe! Real Betis won tonight against SD Huesca thanks to a goal from Borja Iglesias and automatically sealed a ticket to play in European competitions next season. After this achievement, a new one is set for the last game of the season: qualify for UEFA Europa League.

The first half went by with almost no chances for any of the teams. None of them were able to control the game clearly. Both were fighting for possession on the pitch. This way, both teams went to the dressing room with 0-0 in the score.

Back in the game, in a corner kick, Borja Iglesias was tackled inside the box and the referee pointed to the spot. The striker took the responsibility and did not miss. However, the game was not easy after that for the Green and Whites. The visitors tried and pushed until the end, but Betis were defending strong and did not concede clear chances.

Now it's time to determine if the team will play Europa League or Conference League. The aim is the earlier and the team is already looking forward to next weekend,
