Juan Merino during the press conference.

Merino: "I’m worried because we can’t think it’s done; we can’t relax”

“We still have a good distance with six matches left, but we’re defending Betis and we need to finish the highest possible in the table. The sooner we get to our target, the better”, says Betis manager

Real Betis head coach has given a press conference today before setting off to Vigo. Juan Merino has outlined the necessity of keeping focus in order to achieve the target of the season.

Another game to bring the team closer to the target: “I’m worried because we can’t think it’s done. We still have a good distance with six matches left, but we’re defending Betis and we need to finish the highest possible in the table. The sooner we get to our target, the better. We need to win as many games as we can, so we finish with a good feeling and a good image. However, I would have signed being in this position at this moment when I took the job.”

RC Celta de Vigo: “They are up in the table because they deserve it. They make good football and have top players, difficult to stop. We need to be very good tomorrow as a team if we want to get points there. That’s our idea. We have trained trying to prepare what we are going to find. It’s difficult, but we know we can win if we perform.”

Happiness after the victory obtained against Levante UD: “That’s what bothers me. We have six games left, still a long way to go. Our job is to make the players see that we can’t relax. Every game is important. We need to give everything until the very last fixture.”
