Portillo played a huge part in the attack of the team in the second half. He gave several assists to his teammates but they couldn’t score the third goal. The attacking midfielder explained that the goal of the season “is close but far at the same time because our rivals don’t lose and we couldn’t fail today. It’s an added pressure because our rivals are doing their job and we couldn’t miss.”

The key is winning: “We are at a stage where the essential thing is to win, and were in the final steps. Let’s hope we can make it soon.”

Suffering in the second half: “It’s normal because we were going for the third but the rival also plays, and we got the three points at the end.”

Rubén and Molina: “They give us a lot and they’re two outstanding strikers, and so is Rennella. It’s great to have them in your team.”

On his part, Xavi Torres also valued the three points obtained. “We were talking in the dressing room about how important was to win, we would have started feeling nervous if not. They are three important points and we still depend on us, but we know we haven’t achieved anything yet.”

Rest of teams: “Our rivals are winning and it’s going to be difficult, but we are on the right path and we have to make this victory count beating Lugo. It was compulsory for us to win today. It’s a shame that we have to suffer, because we were 0-2 and we could have played at ease. This is the dynamic and the path to follow.”

Rubén and Molina: “It’s hard to describe them with just one word. They don’t get tired of scoring and they are keeping us alive. But all the guys that are playing, the ones coming on from the bench and the squad in general are giving in everything.”
