Real Betis Academy, the nationwide and international sports project in which the green and whites are involved, grew over the course of the season by 117% beyond our borders, doubling the figures recorded with regard to the number of academies and sports campuses held the world over. 

Real Betis Academy is a football academy model that places the onus on boys and girls, along with nationally based and foreign trainers whose main aim is the comprehensive training of its players and coaching staff. This model's intention is to export the Real Betis Balompié brand throughout the world while sharing the Club and its Foundation's ethos and values.

Against this backdrop of international strategy, Real Betis has continued to enjoy growth last year, being involved in 28 sporting projects outside the team's borders by the end of season. The club has maintained its activity in its academies in Zimbabwe, Baghdad, Dohuk, Jordan, Mexico DF, Querétaro, Tbilisi, Caracas while it has unveiled permanent bases in the Arab world through the opening of academies in the cities in Kuwait, in Mosul and Tabuk (Saudi Arabia). Furthermore, Real Betis has kicked off its endeavours in Chile with its academy in Chicureo.

Alongside the above, sports campuses have been held in places as far away as Casablanca, Senegal, Jacksonville and Tampa Bay, reaching the United States for the second time by embarking upon the Real Betis Florida Tour programme. Similarly, the club that plays in green and white expanded its presence in Japan by holding a successful sports campus in Chiba last summer.

Throughout the last season, Real Betis Inside has been up and running once more, a programme that offers international footballers a unique encounter experienced from within the Club itself, in which players enjoy taking part in training sessions and top quality activities to feel what day to day life at Betis is really like in its facilities. A total of 80 players arriving from the academies located in Algeria, Baghdad, Zimbabwe or Caracas have enjoyed taking part in this programme. 

A further programme that Real Betis has held once again this season has involved the training of international coaches devised around offering training programmes to coaches based all over the world that adheres to the Club's methodology. As part of this project, 200 coaches have been given theoretical and practical classes taught by the Club's flagship coaching team. 

These international projects have given a welcome boost to the club's accounts over the season and have seen more than 4,500 players don the green and white shirt while exceeding training for 200 coaches. 

Real Betis Academy in Spain 

In turn, in the national sphere, we find the Betis School, a standout national and international sporting project overseen by the Club which has been running for twelve years now and is undertaken in the city of Seville throughout the season with the participation of more than 200 footballers, this year unveiling the new Rafael Gordillo Sporting Centre. Elsewhere, Real Betis has created academies in municipalities in the provinces of Tenerife and Barcelona, plus campuses in 29 locations, thus adding a further 2,270 green and white players nationwide.  

New web page

Furthermore, Real Betis has launched the new official web page of the Real Betis Academy this season. Through this new portal, the user can clearly view in which territories the Betis sporting project is operational and sign up directly for an academy or campus from the official Real Betis website. 

All of the players who form part of the Real Betis Academy project have the chance to be monitored by the Club with a view to being taken on by Real Betis Balompié's youth sections.
