Real Betis and Tottenham Hotspur agree on a transfer of Giovani Lo Celso

The Argentine returns to Betis and signs a new contract until 2028

Real Betis and Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement for the transfer of Giovani Lo Celso. The new Betis player signs a new contract until 2028. 

Giovani Lo Celso (Rosario, 09/04/1996) began his professional career at Rosario Central, where he leaped to Europe with PSG in 2016.

After two seasons in France, the Argentine arrived at Real Betis Balompié for the first time, completing a successful stint in which he accumulated 45 matches, scored 16 goals, and gave 6 assists.

His fantastic performances with Betis led to his move to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2019, the club from which he now comes and where he has remained until now, with two loan spells at Villarreal CF in between.

Among the achievements of the Argentine international player, are two Copa América titles (2021 & 2024), one CONMEBOL-UEFA Cup of Champions (2022), one French league (2018), two French Cups (2017 & 2018), one French League Cup (2018), and two French Super Cups (2017 & 2018) stand out.
