Real Betis Balompié have signed Brazilian striker Willian José. The footballer arrives on loan from Real Sociedad until the 30th of June of 2022. This way, the new Green and White player becomes the fifth signing of the Club for this season.
Willian José da Silva (Porto Calvo, Brazil, 23rd of November of 1991) began his professional career at Gremio Prudente FL in brazil. His good performances drew the attention of Deportivo Maldonado, that signed him in 2011. At the Uruguayan side, Willian José was loaned out to Santos FC, Gremio Porto Alegre, Real Madrid Castilla, Real Zaragoza and UD Las Palmas.
In 2016, the new Betis player was transferred to Real Sociedad, where he has stayed the last five seasons. Last year, Willian José played the second part of the season on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
He has been capped with Brazil U20.
In his professional career, Willian José has played 371 games in total, scoring 113 goals and providing 22 assists.
