Pepe Mel continues honing his team for the forthcoming match against Sevilla Fútbol Club; he took advantage of the break in the League to add greater intensity to the training build-up to put some different concepts to the test, which could be useful in the match against the eternal rival, in addition to the recovery of injured players during the week.

The technical staff programmed a training match today against Betis Juvenil playing in the Honour Division, coached by Gustavo Sánchez. Mel's team obtained an imposing result wining by 6-1, with goals by Rubén Castro (3), Jorge Molina (2) and Cedrick.

The main change has been the inclusion three full backs in the defensive line, with Amaya, Paulao and Jordi Figueras. The system aims to reinforce the defence and permit Steinhöfer and Dídac's participation on the wings, who have advanced as far as the goal line on some occasions. Actually, it was a pass by the German to Rubén that facilitated the first goal of the match. This goes to show that all that injury time has not affected the forward's hunger to score one iota. Two passes by the player from the Canary Islands helped set up the next two goals by Molina. Betis's top scorer in the last three seasons, star of the game scoring another two goals making it 5-0 by halftime, at which time he already had three goals and two set-ups to his name.

Cedrick scored the sixth goal in the opening minutes of the second half. Gustavo Sánchez's team reduced the gap with a goal by Iván. The Congolese player was extremely active throughout the morning and closed the scoring tally for the first team.

The starting line-up consisted of: Guille Sara, Steinhöfer, Amaya, Paulao, Jordi Figuras, Dídac, Nono, Matilla, Verdú, Rubén Castro and Jorge Molina. In the second half the team recovered their 4-4-2 formation with con Pedro, Caro, Paulao, Amaya, Chica, Matilla, Sergio Rodríguez, Vadillo, Juan Carlos, Cedrick and Rubén Castro.
