Sergio León, Sanabria, Barragán, and Fabián spoke after the game

Real Betis vs Levante UD

SERGIO LEÓN

Second half: “We knew they’d use their style, deep in defence and trying to counterattack. We knew it would take a lot in the first half to create a chance but that the spaces would appear in the second half. We went for it and got the reward with the goal by Sanabria. From then, they opened up and we took advantage from it.”

Sergio León and Sanabria, three goals each so far: “That doesn’t matter. The main thing is to participate and that we all play well. I’m as happy for him as for myself. The important thing is the three points, it doesn’t matter who scores.”

SANABRIA

Feelings after the game: “It tastes wonderful. We put on a great performance. We weren’t finding spaces in the first half. They were defending really hard and we were struggling to find a way.”

Competition with Sergio León: “We have a great relationship. Our competition is healthy and it will make both of us better.”

BARRAGÁN

Positive streak: “We’ve had three really good games and got the three points, which is really important. We close the week with this game and we’re really happy for the nine points for being up in the table, and for this great beginning of the season. We have to go on because this just got started.”

Can the fans dream?: “Yes, of course they can. Our philosophy is go game after game, this will lead us to the top. We have to give everything every game to get the three points. Now we have to focus on getting the three points against Real Sociedad and on. It’s normal that the fans dream. We’ll try to make them dream. We are stronger together.”

FABIÁN

Goal: “I took the ball and I saw the space. I shot and, thank God, it wen in, finally. I tried to pass but I saw the defenders running back and they let the space, so I shot.”

First goal in LaLiga: “When I was a kid I dreamt about scoring in LaLiga with my team, but I didn’t picture this. When I scored and I saw all the fans standing, all the hairs in my body stood up. It’s a dream come true.”
