Van der Vaart trains again with the group

Vargas completed part of the session; Rubén Castro and Jorge Molina, out

Real Betis first team continues preparing the match against RCD Espanyol on Saturday. In this Thursday’s session, Pepe Mel received good news as, step by step, the injured players are getting to the end of their recovery process. In this sense, Van der Vaart has returned to the routine with the rest of his teammates. Also Vargas completed part of the session with the team, as part of the recovery program he has been scheduled to overcome all the problems in his knee. On the other hand, Rubén Castro and Jorge Molina missed out the training planned by the manager. In the case of Castro, the doctors have recommended him to rest after he suffered a blow in his right knee; and Betis number ‘19’ received physiotherapy treatment for lower back pain. However, none of the players have serious problems, and is expected for both of them to return to the training ground on Friday.

The players that did train with the rest were Varela and Dani Ceballos. Both players are ready to work under the supervision of Mel after finishing the gathering with Spain U21 national team.
