Carlos García renews his contract until 2017
The apprentice is still working hard to make the leap forward into the first team: “For the agreement to be extended with the Club that has seen me grow as a player is an honour for me and my family. It is my hope that one day I will be an important player for Betis"
Real Betis continues to bind their young talented players to the Club and the last player to do so was Carlos García Quesada (Sevilla, 1993). The apprentice, whose contract would have expired in June, has signed a new contract that will tie him to the club until 2017. Thus, Real Betis guarantees the continuity of one of the Club's most promising apprentices. At the age of 20, the complete midfielder has been a regular in the last preseason and even had the opportunity to debut with the first team in the 2012-2013 season, specifically against Zaragoza in May.
Raised in Heliopolis, where he arrived at just 8 years of age, the U-19 and U-20 international hopes to continue taking firm steps forward to gain a spot in the first team. "Being tied to the club where I grew up for three more years is an honour for me and my family. My goal, and I hope to succeed in the short term, is to have many minutes in the first team and to be an important player for the team and the boss".
The commitment of the Club with the footballer is so strong that the common objective is that he joins the first team next season: "I think I am ready to make the jump because every time I have been given the chance to train or play with the first team I think I responded to that trust". Carlos Garcia is now focused on contributing to Betis B's promotion, but does not hide the fact that it that would be a dream to finish this season playing withfirst team: "I'm now focused on my team, which is the reserves, but I'm working so that the boss Calderón can count on me when he sees fit to help the first team in this final stretch of the season".
There are several clubs that have knocked at the apprentices door, but for the lad from Seville it was clear from the first minute: "My first choice was to be here longer and as Betis gave me my first break the decision was not a hard one. I want to be here".
