Rubén Castro, with a bruised right knee, and Dani Giménez were the only absentees in today's session
The team is now preparing for their next match
At 11:30 this morning, an hour later than usual, the morning training session commenced. The team returned from Zaragoza last night, at about 3 am, which is why Julio Velázquez put the training session back an hour; a session in which the group was divided in two. Those who were starters in the match at La Romareda today focussed on regenerative exercises. In the cases of Bruno and Xavi Torres, neither of them were on the training pitches as they were working out in the Training Centre gym later undergoing physiotherapy sessions to release the build-up of tension and fatigue.
Rubén Castro and Dani Giménez were the only absentees during the session. The forward suffered a harsh blow in one of the plays to level the match yesterday so he was not able to be with the rest of his teammates in the regenerative session. When the Betis expedition arrived at Santa Justa, the player from the Canary Islands had a slight limp and this morning he was not able to train. For his part, Dani Giménez continues with his specific recovery plan in order to definitively pput the problems with his patellar tendon in his left leg behind him.
Piccini trained again on his own under the supervision of Fran Molano. The wing-back did series of continuous runs and strength work. The players who did not participate in yesterdays match, or who had less match minutes, followed a normal training session with a combination of resistance exercises and work with the ball, in addition to small-sided games. The session finished with shots on goal.
