The collision between Nosa and Casilla

A bruised right quadriceps prevented the Nigerian from continuing on the field of play

In the 76th minute of the match on Sunday, Nosa went on to the pitch to substitute Salva Sevilla. The Nigerian's first match after injury was at the Benito Villamarín; but in the first piece of play in the match just after coming on, the midfielder went from nearly scoring a goal to getting injured. All this in just tenths of a second. Verdú took a free kick which Amaya headed and Nosa tried to redirect it into the net. The ball was not clear and Casilla reacted quickly coming out from the goal, blocking Nosa's shot and colliding with him. The collision produced a bruise on his right quadriceps. The number 20 tried to continue in the game, he even participated in other attacking plays, but he couldn't go on and was replaced by Matilla. He was clearly hurt and angry at his bad luck.
