The first team is back at work in preparation for the match against Albacete Balompié

A new training session after the King's Cup victory against UE Llagostera (2-0)

Julio Velázquez's squad were back training this morning after yesterday's victory in the second round of the King's Cup against UE Llagostera (2-0). With little time to savour the victory, the coach's pupils are already preparing for the next league fixture against Albacete Balompié, scheduled for Sunday 14th September at the Benito Villamarín Stadium. Consequently, the Real Betis Balompié manager prepared a gentle regenerative session to release the players' physical burden accumulated over the past couple of days, hence a shorter period of activity. Nevertheless, whilst exercises with the ball took up most of the session, the physical side was also worked on under the watchful eye of Luis Arnau.

So, fifteen players stepped out on to the turf at the Luis del Sol Training Centre. Kadir, Rennella, Dani Ceballos, Chuli, Sergio Rodríguez, Nono, Pacheco, Cejudo, Lolo Reyes, Molinero, Bruno, Jorge Molina, Javi Montoya, Dani Giménez and Adán put themselves under Velázquez's command whilst the rest of the squad, except Álex Martínez and N'Diaye, trained in the gym.

Later, Kadir, Nono, Molinero and Rennella, starters in yesterday's match, went inside before the rest to to continue with diverse pre-scheduled activities. So with the absence of Álex Martínez who is injured and N'Diaye, who returns to Seville today, the only player still recovering was Cristiano Piccini who, once again, missed training due to physical discomfort.
