Real Betis signs Juan Miranda on loan

Welcome back home!

Real Betis Balompié has signed Juan Miranda. The left back, who arrives on loan for one season, becomes the fourth signing of the Green and White team for the 2020/2021 season.

Juan Miranda (Olivares, Seville, 19th of January of 1990) began his career playing in his hometown team. His outstanding performances drew the attention of Real Betis, that signed him for his Youth Teams. He stayed for six years before joining FC Barcelona.

He joined FC Barcelona in 2014 to play in the academy. There, Miranda climbed through the youth teams until he made his debut with the first team in 2018 in a Copa del Rey match. He also played in the UEFA Champions League that year and won the UEFA Youth League.

Miranda played last season on loan to Schalke 04.

He has been capped with Spain U16, U17, U18, U19 and U 21. He became European champion U17 in 2017 and U19 in 2019. As a curiosity, Miranda is the youngest player ever to play with Spain U16, as he made his debut aged just 14.
