Real Betis Balompié and professional sports once again show their commitment against climate change with the staging - for the third consecutive season - of the Forever Green match, the match for LaLiga's sustainability. This season it will be Real Betis - UD Almería, a match of the 35th round of the First Division that will be played at the Benito Villamarín Stadium on Sunday, May 12.

This season, the theme of the Forever Green matches will be focused on the threat that drought represents to our planet, promoting the responsible use of water. Despite the improvement in the situation of the swamps after the rains that fell last March, the green and white club has decided to focus this campaign on raising awareness about good use of this natural asset after the lack of rainfall that has been about to cause water restrictions in Spanish homes this summer, and which may still occur in certain areas nationwide.

Focused on this theme, Real Betis will debut two sustainable kits: the pre-match shirt and the game kit. Following the principles of the circular economy, they are made with 100% recycled polyester and have been manufactured without the usual chemicals and components to meet sustainability criteria, being a more environmentally friendly alternative. atmosphere.

As for the designs present on the Forever Green kits, they aim to raise awareness about the responsible use of water, reflecting the impact that climate change is having on our fields, punished by the worst drought in living memory.

In addition to this commemorative kit, as a symbol of the importance of caring for natural environments and reforestation, the footballers will jump onto the playing field of the Benito Villamarín Stadium, parading through a hallway formed by trees and accompanied by children who will carry photographs that will serve to raise awareness among fans about the effects of climate change.

Among other actions, sustainable transportation to the Stadium on match day will be promoted, offering promotional codes to fans so they can travel on scooters, motorcycles and electric bicycles with Voi, Lime and Acciona. In addition, leftover food from the different food stands at the Benito Villamarín Stadium will be reused, including it in the To Good To Go App.

Likewise, the Club will measure the water footprint and the impact of these reduction measures.
