Match analysis: “We lacked some coolness in the first passes. The pushed hard, it’s Barcelona. I had the chance to make 1-1 and they scored 2-0 immediately after. When you play at this stadium and are trailing 1-0, everything becomes more complicated. They had many chances by Messi, too.”

Chance to score: “It was too clear. I broke the offside line and run past Umtiti and Mascherano. I pictured many different options, like lobbing the ball over the keeper. The second time he made an attempt to run towards me, I tried to control and get closer. I was a bit short in the last step and I didn’t see Mascherano coming from behind. He made a great tackle and got the ball. Now it’s time to move on and focus on the game on Friday.”

Phases of the game: “We were good in the first 35 minutes. We were perfect in defence until that point. They weren’t creating danger considering that they are Barcelona. The game was more or less under control. We were quite unlucky in the two goals and then everything becomes more complicated.”

Game against RC Celta de Vigo: “Our excitement is intact. This is just the first step. We have another game on Friday, at home, and we want to move forward. We want to be the main character and out on the pitch what the manager wants. We are all excited to go back to that new stadium and that our fans see that we’ve worked hard during the preseason.”
