Víctor: "We don’t ask anything from the fans, we need to hook them with our performance”
Press conference
Real Betis head coach has addressed the media today at Luis del Sol Training Centre. The manager has analysed the game tomorrow against SD Eibar.
Bad image in the last few games: “The bad image, also the good image, also the decisions that has been prejudicial for us. We have to say it all. There’s no need to see the glass always half empty. You also have to look at those things the team does well. We are the first ones who focus on the ones we are not that good at because we have to keep working to improve. That’s our job.”
Fans: “It hasn’t changed since the very first day we started here. We don’t ask anything from them. The only thing we can do is focusing on our job and hook them and make them enjoy with what we do on the pitch. Sadly, we haven’t done it in the last few games, but we’re focus on it.”
Do you think your job is at stake?: “No. Not in the sense you ask it. It’s a question I’ve been asked in the last weeks due to the streak of results. I reply from the work we are doing here at the Club and I don’t have that feeling. We all know how this profession, though, is and how is the context of the coaches. We are all under pressure, without a doubt, but I feel the confidence.”
Goals from midfielders: “We need them all to score. The main responsibility is for the strikers, but we are not happy with the numbers we have. We need to demand much more, we need the midfielders to come from behind, and also the assets we have in set plays with our central defenders.”
