Caro: "This comes at a good time for us and we are confident that we will be successful in this knockout phase"
"Being a rookie this year in the Football Draft lists and getting into the Bronze Eleven 2014 encourages me and pushes me even further to try to achieve new goals for the future".
The decisive moment for this season is looming over Betis B. Two matches, 180 minutes separate them from getting promotion and returning to Second Division B. To do so the Heliopolitan team has to beat UCAM Murcia in a promotional knockout round. Their rivals were champions of Group 13 of the Third Division, rivals who have exactly the same objective. The first leg is this Sunday, playing away in Murcia at 6:30 PM
The player from Estepa, José Antonio Caro, a defender and one of the captains of Betis B attended the club's official media to transmit how the team is feeling about this vital match.
UCAM Murcia: "They are a tough team to play. They were relegated from the Second Division B last season just like we were; and this year in Group XIII of the Third Division they have got some really good stats holding the top spot nearly all season. But this comes at a good time for us and we are confident that we will be successful in this knockout phase".
Solid in defence: "I think they are number two in terms of the least number of goals conceded in all the Third Division groups, that speaks for itself. They have a number of veteran players in defence who know what it's like to play in the Second Division B and in the Third Division. However, if we continue like we have been recently, we can create quite a bit of danger upfront".
The matches against them last season: "Both games ended in a draw. They were very evenly matched. Fortunately, I was able to score a goal against UCAM Murcia in the home match, which was held at the Benito Villamarín Stadium. It brings back fond memories, it was the first goal I scored for the reserves and my first goal in that category".
How is the team feeling?: "The team has been very close since the beginning of the season, now at the end of the season even more so. The team is on form so we are feeling confident. We are competing at full tilt in the training sessions because everybody wants to play and that's what makes us a team".
Chosen for the Bronze Eleven: "I'm very happy. Being a rookie this year in the Football Draft lists and getting into the Bronze Eleven 2014 encourages me and pushes me even further to try to achieve new goals for the future. I would like to thank them for this award and say that it goes to all those people who have been by my side since the beginning and for all my teammates".
