Betis B says goodbye to the season with a friendly charity match against Dos Hermanas (3-5)
Luis Madrigal, Álex Alegría, Álvaro González, Isuardi and Eneko scored the goals for the green-and-whites
On Tuesday, Betis B put an end to a successful season playing a friendly match against Dos Hermanas CF, at the Miguel Román Stadium in the city of Seville. The benefits of this match will go towards helping the family who were affected by fire in the Los Montecillos neighbourhood. Whilst the result was not important given the charitable nature of the match, the result was in the favour of the Betis team with a 3-5 result.
In a lively first half there were numerous occasions in both areas, but the team from Heliopolis was the first one to score a goal. Luis Madrigal, one of the most active Betis B players, opened the scoring with a powerful left-footed shot from outside the area which struck the crossbar before going in to the home team's goal. The green-and-whites extended their lead half an hour into the match with a goal by Álex Alegría. This Betis forward has an authoritative scoring ability, but on this occasion his shot struck the crossbar before going in. Minutes before the half-time whistle, Lara reduced the distance for Dos Hermanas CF.
The home team took advantage of the beginning of the second half to make a comeback. First with a goal by Fali, in the 53rd minute followed by a goal by Manu in the 60th. Despite the fact that the rhythm of the match was reduced by a round of substitutions, Betis B did not take their eyes off their rival's goal. An incisive Álvaro González scored the equaliser 10 minutes before the end, off an assist by Isuardi. The forward from Cantabria was also to score the visiting team's fourth goal moments later. And just when it looked as if there was going to be no more movement on the scoreboard, Eneko, with a crossing shot, scored the final goal of making it 3-5 to finish a great offensive game for the green-and-whites.
So Betis B triumphed against Dos Hermanas putting an end to a season in which they were champions of Group X of the Third Division and they were promoted to the Second Division B.
Betis B's starting eleven were Álvaro Ratón, Kevin, Zamora, Sofian, Lolo, Jesús Muñoz, Juanma, Isaac, Álex Alegría, Luis Madrigal and Eneko. Isuardi, Álvaro González, Moyita and Ismael also participated
