Álex Martínez and N'Diaye, the only absentees in the afternoon session

The wing-back will be sidelined for two to three weeks

This afternoon at the Luis del Sol Training Centre, Velázquez's team concluded their second day of preparation for the forthcoming match on Sunday against SD Ponferradina. The activities undertaken, in a session that was again open to the public, were the same as the ones in the morning, there were no changes in the number of players available. Álex Martínez, who will be sidelined for two to three weeks due to a sprain in his left knee, and N’Diaye, who is away training with the Senegalese national team, were the most significant absentees. Today, their absence was covered by Varela and Dani Ceballos, who also trained this morning under the command of Velázquez.

Otherwise, the Real Betis manager has continued to outline different aspects in preparation for the forthcoming match against Ponferrada, giving more emphasis to exercises with the ball. What is more, Javi Montoya and José Antonio Caro have also worked with the first team, and Xavi Torres worked out in the gym.
