Real Betis Balompié has signed the Peruvian international player Juan Manuel Vargas. The player has signed a two-year deal with the Green-and-White institution.

Juan Manuel Vargas Risco (Lima, 1983) has 59 caps with Peru, in which he has scored 4 goals. He started his career in Club Universitario de Deportes, in Peru. Then moved to Argentina to play for Club Atlético Colón, and then to Italy where he played for Catania Calcio, ACF Fiorentina, Genoa CFC and ACF Fiorentina for a second spell. He has played a total of 444 matches at top level, scoring 47 goals. Varagas is 1.85 metres tall (6’1”).

Vargas becomes the eight signing for Real Betis in the current period. He will be presented tomorrow Thursday the 13^th at 11 a.m. in Luis del Sol Training Centre. Then, he will set foot on the pitch to salute the fans.
