Real Betis and Adidas unveil the new 2015/2016 kits

Rubén Castro, Van der Vaart, Fabián, Adán, Tarek and Irene Guerrero were the players chosen for the presentation

In the Alcázar of Seville, Real Betis and Adidas, the new sponsor of the Club for the next six seasons, have unveiled the new kits and sport clothes that all Betis team will wear the upcoming season. Many personalities of the world of politics, culture and business attended to the event.

Rubén Castro, Rafael van der Vaart and Fabián were the models chosen to display the three kits designed by Adidas. Adán wore the new shirt for the goalkeepers. Amro Tarek, on his part, presented the polo shirt of the team, and Irene Guerrero, from the Ladies team, wore the new training jacket.

Real Betis Chairman, Juan Carlos Ollero, showed his satisfaction for this new partnership with Adidas, one of the leader brands in sport equipment. “I ask all the fans to buy the new shirts, enjoy with them and bring them to the Stadium every weekend. I also ask them to continue getting their season tickets for the show to go on in the same pace we recently had.”

The Chairman continued his speech with message looking at the future: “Adidas is a reference in sports all over the world and the Alcázar of Seville is a World Heritage site, that’s why we wanted to make the presentation in such a location. Betis is the most sevillian thing in Seville, and there is no place most typical in Seville than the Alcázar. The history and legend that are within the walls of the Alcázar is the same of Betis, the most important social and civil institution in number of members of Seville and Andalusia. We have received some new from the Audiencia Provincial of Seville (regional ruling court). The current board has the desire to continue working in the same way they have been doing to ensure the economic future of the Club until the law establishes a new order. Betis has never needed anything from anybody, only from Betis fans, each one of them. The Club has been going through an endurance run by itself; it does not need any savior. That is the idea of board. Nobody should ever try to break this trajectory and the ones that would follow us should be responsible of Betis’ future, without being selfish, thinking about Betis as this board is doing. All for Betis.”

On his part, Adidas Sports Marketing Director, Luis Cano, thanked all the people involved in the process of the deal between Real Betis Balompié and the German brand: “I would like to thank everyone that has cooperated to make the possibility of being here true. It has been really easy to work with the people in Betis; I would like to thank them for their professionalism. We have been going through this negotiation since last summer. Without all their work and our partners’ it would had been impossible to have a store and to reach this agreement.”

Finally, the Mayor of Seville, Juan Espadas, closed the turn of speeches wishing many future successes to Real Betis Balompié: “It is special for me to be here and you know it, my heart feels in the way it does. I am the Mayor and I respect the two clubs of the city, but I can’t deny my Green-and-White heart. It is better if we know it, with the highest regards for the other team of the city. I am sure Real Betis Balompié and Adidas will have success together. Real Betis is a world heritage club and in this city it is living history, present and future. It will be a difficult year, but we will be whatever we want to be. We can make it with our effort and will. Real Betis has always been ambitious and able to fight for the highest goals. Let’s hope we will achieve big things together. We are here today to celebrate the bond between a great Club and a great brand. The city of Seville will always be with Betis, whether in victory or defeat. Real Betis will always have us by its side, all the citizens and the fans, and the city hall. We all owe so much to Real Betis’ history.”
