Real Betis Balompié and Joaquín Sánchez have extended the contract existing between them. The Green and White captain, a living legend, will continue in the Club until 2022.

Joaquín arrived to Real Betis Youth when he was 16 years-old, and has become one of the most important Spanish footballers in the last two decades. His formidable football, commitment and love for the Thirteen Stripes have taken him to a prominent spot in the Club's history. In the 2020/2021 season, Joaquín became the player with most games played with the Green and White shirt.
