Good first half by the Green and Whites, clearly controlling the game throughout the first half. The first chance, tight after the start, was for Rodri, but his effort met Rui Patricio's save.

The team did manage to take the lead in the score just after the first half an hour, with a shot from Canales that took a slight deflection on a defender and went in. The midfielder got close to scoring his second five minutes later, but his effort went just wide. The visitors scored right before half time, but Belotti was offside and the goal was ruled out.

In the second half, the Italian side came on a bit stronger, looking for the tie. It came ten minutes in, after a long review by the VAR, for a possible offside, but the goal finally stood.

Both teams had options until the end, although none of them clear enough. The best one was for Borja Iglesias, but he missed his shot.
