Real Betis takes action on the seven proposals received for the construction of the new Benito Villamarín Stadium
The seven finalist candidates will internally present and develop these proposals through part of the next week in the Luis del Sol Sports City and the chosen recipient will be known by the month of July.
Real Betis has already received the proposals of the seven finalist candidates that will opt to construct the new Benito Villamarín Stadium. In the morning, members of distinct areas of the Club, with the corporate director Frederick Martínez Feria at the head, have taken up the seven economic proposals received.
The deadline for the proposals expired June 15th, and the seven finalist candidates sent their proposals on time and in form. The Club has an internal multidisciplinary work team, composed of personnel specializing in legal, finance, and technical material, who will detail a report for each of the proposals. These reports will serve as an assessment to the council of the administration, the body in charge of deciding upon the winning candidate who will execute one of the most important projects for the entity, as recognized in the Strategic Plan for 2022-2026.
Additionally, within the next week the architecture studios vying for the construction of the new Benito Villamarín Stadium will be able to present and internally develop their proposals in a detailed manner within the lounge zone of the Luis de Sol Sports City.
Federico Martínez Feria explained this "continuing process" should culminate with the selection of a winning candidate and the subsequent writing of the groundwork will adapt to the marked requirements of the club.
"Today we are proceeding with the competition of ideas, drawing up the amount of money each one of the proponents has offered with the idea in order to homogenize the information to better serve us in the process of the study. This is a continuing process and, when we prepare this report, the council will decide who we adjudicate. We think that in July we will have made a decision and communicated with the bidders, who will then write up the groundwork."
The winning candidate, as detailed by our own Martínez Feria, will have the support and collaboration of an internal work team to continue developing the project according to the requirements of the club. The work, according to the plan's timeline, should be finalized for the 2023/2024 season.
