Vadillo: "Whilst there is a mathematical possibility we will keep trying"
The player who came up through the youth teams appeals to the team to keep fighting.
Mathematics now has the upper hand in the green-and-white changing room and whilst it doesn't say any differently the team is going to continue fighting on. These were Alvaro Vadillo's comments today in the press room "Whilst there is a mathematical possibility we will keep trying. The refereeing sometimes goes against you but on other occasions it goes in your favour. It's true that in the last match we fell foul of it and an error threw all our hard work overboard. However, we can't make refereeing an excuse because we deserve to be where we are in the league".
A lot of fans came to the training session: "That's nothing new because the fans have always been behind us and we're very grateful. We talk about it in the changing room. The support is very satisfying".
Your future: "I have always said that Betis is my first choice whether it be in the First Division or Second, they are the ones who have to decide. My decision is to stay here".
The comments made by Jose Castro: "We began the league very well but the results didn't go in our favour as the season went on, so he could be right in that everyone is where they deserve to be. The referees have done some damage but we could not say that we are going down because of the refereeing".
The team: "It is true that if you look at each player in the team we don't have a squad that deserves to be last. During the pre-season preparation we were surprised because we were playing at a high level".
Was it a mistake to dismiss Mel?: "Yes, because he knew the players and we were happy with him, he could have got us through this".
The team dynamic: "When things are going badly they do so in all aspects. When it hasn't been for injuries, it's the refereeing or our own errors".
