Vilarchao Eder underwent surgery today in the San José de Vitoria hospital, attended by Dr. Mikel Sanchez. The midfielder was not able to recover completely from the injury to his left ankle which has been dragging on for some time. It is hoped that the with this operation he will definitively put his ailments to one side.

The player is expected to be discharged from hospital on Wednesday, from which time he shall initiate a three-month recovery period; after which Eder should be able to participate in the pre-season training programme.
