Amaya and Guille Sara, doubtful for Vallecas
Nosa, Cedrick and Nono abandon the training session before its conclusion
A new working day for the team coached by Gabriel Humberto Calderón already in the final stages of preparation for Sunday's match against Madrid's Rayo Vallecano, one of the final matches in their struggle to stay in the First Division. The Betis team exercised this morning on the turf at the Benito Villamarín Stadium, a setting in which the Argentine coach has suffered a number of setbacks, none of which were serious. Up to 5 players had to abandon the training session before the end which could affect the players Calderón can call upon for next Saturday's match.
Amaya, who is suffering from an acute coxalgia is doubtful fro the Vallecas match, so is Guille Sara, who has acute back pain. In the cases of Nono and Nosa, they withdrew before the end of the session but it was anticipated by the medical staff, as both players are still following a specific recovery schedule. Furthermore, Cedrick, with a fatigued patellar tendon in his left leg, also missed the final minutes of the session. Consequently, the Argentine manager will not know how many players he can count on for the trip to Vallecas until the final moment.
On a positive note, both Perquis and Leo Baptistao completed training in optimal conditions, so the problems that led to the Franco-Polish player's withdrawal yesterday have completely disappeared. In terms of the apprentices,Carlos Garcia, Varela, Alvaro Gonzalez, Ignacio Abeledo and Pedro once again submitted to the command of Calderón given the accumulation of injuries in the first team, and tomorrow they will be back on the turf at the Luis del Sol Training Centre at 10:30 am for a session that will be closed to the public.
