Chuli to be sidelined for a week
The striker has suffered an elongation of the rectus muscle in his left leg
After completion of the first concentration of the preseason and the day off Julio Velázquez gave the players yesterday, the team has returned to work at the Training Centre to prepare the friendly matches they have over the next two days. This afternoon the squad left for the Cadiz region for the first one against Atletico Sanluqueño to play the Sanlúcar Puerta de Doñana Trophy. Tomorrow they will play against FC Isla Cristina and the team will train in the morning, as they did today.
Chuli will be sidelined for both matches. The striker was injured in the preseason stage at San Pedro del Pinatar and tests that have shown that he has an elongation in the rectus femoris of his left leg. Chuli will be off work under treatment for one week, and to cover his absence Julio Velázquez has called upon the services of Jaime Isuardi. Eder Vilarchao completed the first part of the training session and then went to the gymnasium to continue his specific recovery plan. The same was true for Braian Rodríguez and Juanfran who were not able to come out on to the pitch. Once again the training session has been split into two parts. Physical training in the first half of the session, and match simulations in his second half, in which two formations have been tested in a session that lasted 90 minutes.
